Communication during an emergency situation is crucial, but current communication systems rely on basic technology.
The goal was to create a communication device to use in an emergency on a university campus when there is no electricity or cell phone signal available. |
I started with examining the current emergency handling at CMU, then built a possible scenario, using one way communication tool instead of P2P deivice. The user had to registered the device at the beginning of the semester. It is stored by a main study-area, updated and charged through USB cord and distributed when the emergency occurs.
